Venue Manager
European Wine Bar & Bistro – Dunsborough, WA
We are a small, independent European-style wine bar bistro in the heart of Dunsborough, three hours south-west of Perth. Our venue focuses on thoughtfully curated wines, stirred classic cocktails, and a bespoke, seasonal menu, delivered in a warm, intimate setting.
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Venue Manager to lead daily operations and help shape the next chapter of our business.
About the Role
This is a key leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a small, quality-driven venue and enjoys being on the floor. You will work closely with ownership, lead a small team, and ensure exceptional guest experiences every service.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day venue operations
• Lead, train and motivate a small FOH team
• Deliver warm, professional and consistent service
• Manage staff rosters, wages and labour costs
• Maintain service standards across wine, cocktails and food
• Assist with wine list management and menu development
• Manage stock ordering, suppliers and inventory
• Ensure compliance with RSA, health & safety standards
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with care and confidence
About You
• Proven experience as a Venue Manager, Bar Manager or Senior Supervisor
• Strong knowledge of wine and classic / stirred cocktails
• Passion for European hospitality and food-led wine service
• Calm, organised and service-focused under pressure
• Hands-on leadership style – you enjoy being on the floor
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations and costs
