Responsibilities
- Analyze and refine existing game mechanics to enhance clarity and playability
- Develop and structure a detailed Game Design Document (GDD) covering all core systems, rules, and components
- Balance gameplay elements to ensure strategic depth and fairness
- Prepare submission‑ready documentation and materials for publisher review
- Collaborate with the project owner to iterate on feedback and implement improvements
- Ensure all documentation is professionally formatted and accessible to both publishers and playtesters
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience designing tabletop or board games, with a portfolio of published or prototype titles
- Strong expertise in creating and organizing Game Design Documents (GDDs)
- Deep understanding of game balancing, mechanics, and player engagement strategies
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Familiarity with dark fantasy themes and environmental storytelling is a plus
- No artwork or digital prototyping required for this role
