As a Physiotherapy Aide, you'll be part of a warm and collaborative team delivering meaningful physical support to residents and clients. You will help enhance mobility, independence and quality of life, while working in a positive environment grounded in empathy, respect and dignity.
This is permanent part-time opportunity with some work from home flexibility at Anglicare Hub Macquarie Park and Frenchs Forest, three days a week between 8:00 am to 4 :00 pm.
Area of community work covers Northern Beaches, Upper to Lower North Shore and surrounds.
Your Opportunity
As a Physiotherapy Aide, you will support the delivery of physiotherapy programs that promote physical mobility, strength and wellbeing. Working alongside physiotherapists, village teams and clinical staff, you'll help implement individual and group therapy programs while ensuring residents/clients receive exceptional care tailored to their needs.
With compassion, professionalism and strong communication skills, you will:
* Deliver excellent customer service aligned with Anglicare's Vision, Mission and Values
* Support individual and group physiotherapy programs as directed by physiotherapists
* Assist with equipment delivery and exercise programs for residents
* Manage exercise related scheduling and communicate changes to clients and teams related scheduling and communicate changes to clients and teams
* Work collaboratively with village and AAH care teams to support a consistent resident experience
* Participate in care meetings, case conferences and team discussions as required
* Provide accurate information to support care planning and documentation
* Attend required training to maintain physiotherapy support competencies
* Report changes in resident behaviour, mobility or ability to physiotherapists
* Communicate clearly with residents' families as needed
* Maintain a safe work environment by following WHS procedures and reporting hazards
* Contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace culture
* Uphold Anglicare's Christian values in all interactions, ensuring dignity and empathy for every resident
* Will get travel and parking expenses reimbursed
What You'll Bring
You are patient, supportive and passionate about enhancing the physical wellbeing of older people. You enjoy hands on work and building trusted relationships with residents, families and staff.
You will also need:
* Preferred but not essential the APA Physiotherapy Assistants Course or equivalent
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in home care, aged care or community environments
* Experience using systems and technology (e.g., CRMs)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication, rapport building and interpersonal abilities
* Experience in scheduling appointments or group activities (desirable)
* Driver's license and own car (essential)
* Trustworthy and reliable, able to perform effectively in an unsupervised role.

* Willing to travel, including driving up to one hour from base location.
* Genuine affinity for seniors, with a passion for supporting older adults.
