Are you passionate and knowledgeable in Food Safety and Halal Compliance, Quality Assurance and Biosecurity disciplines? If so, we have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced QA professional to join our Jetstar Retail Team.
More about this role:
You will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Supply and Operations, Jetstar in maintaining all compliance with Food Safety, Halal, and Biosecurity disciplines. Additionally, you will manage Food Safety and Compliance programs in conjunction with our National QA team and ensure excellence in performance from both execution and management perspectives.
In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:
* Manage Food Safety and Compliance programs specifically for our Jetstar business across the national dnata catering network.
* Providing specialist advice and information to external/internal stakeholders in regard to Food Safety, Halal, Biosecurity and Risk Prevention.
* Support our Manager, Supply and Operations, Jetstar on all JQ Food Safety, Compliance and QA matters.
* Oversee meal sampling, testing, temperature logging and inflight trials.
* Manage the audit function for Food Safety for all of our port locations involving JQ.
* Lead investigations in food safety incidents, foreign body reports and allergens cases.
* Seek out, quantify, and develop opportunities for process improvement.
* Attend and lead quality meetings with JQ Operations Teams and Department Leaders
* Build strategies to maintain delivery of service and compliance in line with our agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Maintain regular communication and updates to the General Manager QA.
* Be involved in training and development on all QA related topics
What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
* Demonstrated success in a similar role.
* Tertiary Qualification in Food related discipline
* Lead or Internal Food Safety Auditor (RABQSA) qualification
* Recent and up to date HACCP qualification
* Experience in ISO22000:2018 certification
* Practical experience in food manufacturing with QA, HACCP, Food Safety
* Ability to communicate related technical information to all levels of Staff within the business and externally.
* Ability to influence decision makers in appropriate control measures resulting from risk assessments and audits.
* Eligibility to hold Aviation Security Identification Card
* Available for intermittent travel as required by the business
* As we are an aviation related business, al applicants must be able to pass a National Police Check (at our cost).
Desirable
* Halal Compliance in a food manufacturing environment
* Experience in Biosecurity waste management and Approved Arrangements
* Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training
* Lead Auditor qualifications
