* Work as a key team member in our Accounts Department to manage the flow of money coming into and out of the organization.
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for managing the flow of money coming into and out of the organization, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaising with patients, insurers, Medicare, DVA and other customer groups, communicating clearly and concisely, keeping them aware of any delays.
* Maintaining accuracy in data entry and correct documentation for each account.
* Inputting accurate information into the patient billing system.
* Receiving and processing payments in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner and issue receipts where required.
* Ensure credit notes and refunds comply with policies and procedures.
* Ensure clinic bank reconciliations are completed daily, with discrepancies resolved efficiently.
* Efficiently dealing with patient enquiries and calls.
Requirements
* Prior experience in an Accounts Receivable role or have similar experience within a healthcare environment dealing with patients on a regular basis.
* High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
* Good communication and organizational skills that help build and maintain successful working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Medicare and Workers compensation systems is desirable.
* Ability to provide a National Police Check within 6 months or willing to obtain.
