We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join our People & Culture team and take the lead on delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll to our 5,000+ team members nationally.Reporting to the National Payroll Manager, you'll lead by example, provide guidance to our Payroll Officers, and ensure our team members are paid correctly, on time, and in full compliance with EBAs and legislation.This is a part time role at 30 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday. With 2 days in the office and 2 days at home, this is the perfect role for someone looking for flexibility.What You'll Be Responsible ForEnd-to-end payroll processing (weekly and monthly) for all team members using HR3 and KronosEnsuring accurate Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation, liaising with Payroll Manager and HRInvestigating and resolving payroll-related employee queries in a timely and professional mannerPreparing and delivering ad hoc reports with accuracy and efficiencyAssisting with end-of-month processing, including reports and distributionMaintaining and updating employee master file data in the payroll systemHandling external inquiries (e.g., Centrelink, auditors)Managing leave calculations (parental leave, long service leave, etc.)Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersWhat You’ll BringProven experience in a senior payroll role, preferably in a large, multi-site organisation, running payroll for large workforces (5000+)Strong understanding of Fair Work compliance, award interpretation, enterprise agreements and payroll legislationExcellent attention to detail and high-level proficiency in ExcelExperience with HR3 and Kronos (desirable but not essential)A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong stakeholder communication skillsAbility to work independently with a coaching mindset — willing to support, guide, and lift those around youWhat We OfferHybrid working model – 2 days WFHConvenient location – Kensington office, close to public transport (tram & train)A positive and inclusive workplace cultureWork life balance - 4 days per week, 2 days in the office, 2 days at home.Opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced Payroll Manager & HR teamSupportive leadership and mentoring to enhance your payroll expertiseEmployee benefits – including paid parental leave and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)If you're a payroll professional looking for a dynamic and rewarding role, we'd love to hear from you!
