Territory Sales Manager – Distribution
to drive profitable growth, strengthen our distribution partnerships and expand our footprint across QLD.
About the Role You will be supporting distributors and resellers through the sales cycle and securing profitable outcomes that protect margin and grow market share.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, your core objective is to
achieve and exceed revenue and gross profit targets
through structured pipeline management, proactive business development and strategic account growth.
Your Impact Be a Market Builder Actively grow and protect aligned distributor and reseller accounts against competitor draw. Equip partners with the tools, training and support they need to increase sell‑through and strengthen market position.
Own the Pipeline Research and identify new distribution and reseller opportunities. Strategically plan and execute face‑to‑face sales calls, convert quotes and secure profitable outcomes.
Build Trusted Partnerships Develop long‑term, loyal relationships that result in repeat business and strong margin outcomes. Provide product expertise, commercial guidance and ongoing account support.
Drive Product Growth Manage nominated product groups as a field expert — owning quality feedback, market intelligence and overall sales growth within your channel network.
Champion CRM & Analytics Maintain disciplined CRM records following every customer interaction. Leverage sales analytics tools to identify opportunities, track activity and refine territory strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve territory Sales and GP targets
Secure new distributor and reseller accounts
Grow revenue and margin within existing partner accounts
Plan and execute proactive F2F sales calls
Record detailed CRM notes including follow‑up actions
Conduct GTMs, product launches and structured product training sessions
Support partner sales teams with product and industry knowledge
Promote company USP programs and sales initiatives
Monitor market trends, competitor pricing and new product opportunities
Assist with credit management and account compliance where required
Attend trade exhibitions and industry events
Upsell and cross‑sell within aligned pricing structures
Maintain exceptional service standards aligned with company policy
Requirements About You You are commercially driven, relationship-focused and thrive in a fast‑paced building products environment.
You bring
5+years’ experience in trade or building products sales
Strong understanding of distribution and reseller channel dynamics
Proven ability to grow territory revenue while protecting GP
High‑level negotiation and communication skills
Strong analytical and strategic planning capability
Excellent time management and organisational skills
CRM discipline and reporting accuracy
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant business software
Collaborative mindset and high personal integrity
You are proactive, adaptable and motivated by results — while committed to ethical business practice and long‑term partnerships.
