About the Role (Settings)
Acute Mental Health
Work in fast-paced acute care settings, managing urgent mental health crises, stabilising patients, and coordinating with emergency services. Use your crisis intervention skills to make a rapid impact during high-pressure situations.
Inpatient Units
Deliver consistent, supportive care to individuals requiring more intensive mental health support. Manage daily assessments, administer medication, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help stabilise and rehabilitate patients on their path to recovery.
Community Mental Health
Provide case management, comprehensive assessments, and care planning. Work in community settings allows you to build deeper connections and support clients through their recovery journey.
Criteria
* Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
* Experience: A minimum of 5 years in mental health nursing, particularly in case management.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with patients and team members.
* Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Transportation: A valid driver's license for regional and remote roles.
* Flexibility: Willingness to commit to travel nursing contracts in regional/remote areas for at least 12 weeks.
