Electrician - Port Hedland RESIDENTIAL BASED

UON's business centres around the design, manufacturing, supply, construction and maintenance of remote, off-grid power and water infrastructure, with many of the products manufactured in UON's Malaga facility, based on proprietary and patented designs.
About The Opportunity
This is a permanent Port Hedland based position
Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
Read technical diagrams and schematics.
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Inspect transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components.
Active involvement in the company's continuous improvement programs – adopting and implementing the 5's systems to ensure minimal waste.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.

Ability to read and understand schematic drawings
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to follow instructions when given
Requirements
Australian recognised Electrical Trade certificate and Grade A State Electrical Licence
Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience
Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Training within 12 months of conclusion date
Cardiopulmonary Performance Resuscitation (CPR) Training within 12 months of conclusion date
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, maintenance and repair
Experience in renewable energy field
Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines to meet AS ****
Ability to mentor apprentices
Current and valid Class C driver's licence
