ABOUT THEM
We’re partnering with a highly unconventional and complex organisation based in Berridale. Their Safety and Wellbeing team works across a wide range of environments, from museums, wineries and hospitality venues to construction sites and horticulture.

The organisation continues to evolve its spaces, experiences and people, requiring early and meaningful safety involvement across projects, operations and creative installations. Safety is embedded across the business, with the team working closely with every functional area to support both operational excellence and creative intent.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role works alongside another Health and Safety Advisor and reports directly to the Head of Safety. It is a hands-on, technically engaging position that spans multiple projects and operating environments.
You’ll support the effective execution of the organisation’s Health and Safety Management System while partnering closely with managers, operational teams, creatives and project stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:

* Participating in risk management activities, including facilitating risk assessments, contributing to SOP development, conducting control verification and providing advisory support
* Driving safe systems of work, quality incident investigations and visible, felt safety leadership through learning, training, coaching and monitoring
* Developing inventive and practical solutions to a diverse range of physical and psychosocial health and safety challenges
* Championing a positive and robust health and safety culture at all levels of the organisation, with a strong focus on supporting managers and operational leaders
This role can be offered at 0.8 to 1.0 FTE (30.4 to 38 hours per week). Flexible daily start and finish times can be accommodated within weekly hours.

ABOUT YOU
You’re a contemporary health and safety professional who can integrate the safety agenda into broader organisational objectives, particularly within a non-traditional operating environment.
You bring an engaging, people-focused approach and are comfortable building credibility across a diverse stakeholder group. You’re analytical, curious and able to clearly communicate complex concepts in a simple, practical way.
You’ll ideally bring:

* Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related discipline (Diploma preferred)
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills with high attention to detail
* Contemporary knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements, with the ability to research and upskill where required
