At SpaceX, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. As a member of our launch pad development team, you will work with elite engineers across multiple disciplines to design, build, and activate a second orbital launch pad and ancillary infrastructure.
This position is based in Starbase, Texas, and requires being onsite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with experience in site feasibility and conceptual planning, storm water management, grading, drainage, and utility design.
The responsibilities of this role include owning site feasibility and conceptual planning, performing calculations for grading and drainage, driving coordination and design necessary to obtain local, state, and federal permits, and managing the civil aspects of construction projects in the field.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 2+ years of professional experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting, and basic proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD/Civil3D.
Beyond technical skills, you should also possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while maintaining a high sense of urgency in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
