We're seeking a motivated and experienced Workshop Controller to join a well-established, multi-franchise service centre located in the Sutherland shire. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday position offers an excellent opportunity to lead a busy workshop team and make a real impact in a fast-paced service environment.
In this key leadership role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of a multi-brand workshop, managing workflow, ensuring high standards of workmanship, and supporting a team of technicians and apprentices. You'll be hands-on in guiding staff, supporting diagnostics, and working closely with service advisors to maintain outstanding customer service and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage workshop scheduling and workflow to meet delivery deadlines
* Lead and motivate a team to achieve quality, efficiency, and productivity targets
* Support technicians with diagnostics and technical issues
* Monitor work quality and ensure brand and safety compliance
* Conduct Toolbox Talks and coordinate training initiatives
* Collaborate with service advisors to deliver excellent customer experiences
* Ensure warranty procedures and WHS policies are followed
* Drive profitability and performance in the service department
Ideal Candidate
* Experience as a Workshop Controller or Service Supervisor
* Qualified automotive technician
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
* ERA NET / ERA POWER experience and electronic job scheduling essential
* Exposure to multiple vehicle brands (preferred but not required)
* NSW Driver's Licence
