Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fitter & Turner / Fabricator to join our skilled and friendly workshop team.
About the Role
This is a hands‐on position involving machining, fabrication, welding and general workshop duties. You will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high‐quality outcomes in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
* TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel
* Machining using lathe, milling machine and radial arm drill
* Fabrication and general fitting and turning duties
* Reading and interpreting drawings and job specifications
* Maintaining workshop cleanliness and organisation
* Managing stock control within the workshopCompleting work accurately, efficiently and within required timeframes
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Boilermaker, Fabricator or similar
* Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding (stainless and mild steel)
* Strong machining capabilities
* Ability to work independently and unsupervised
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
* Strong focus on safety, quality and workshop cleanliness
* Basic computer skills (sending emails, basic job documentation)
* Forklift licence (highly beneficial)
