Infrastructure Canberra (iCBR)’s vision is to enrich and connect our communities through sustainable and transformative infrastructure, places and spaces. At iCBR, we are the Territory’s expert on capital infrastructure and our purpose is to efficiently develop, deliver and maintain infrastructure, places and spaces with our partners, for our community. Within iCBR, the Property Infrastructure and Electrification Branch is responsible for the procurement and delivery of infrastructure projects across the ACT. This position will support branch activities with a particular focus on the Big Canberra Battery, large scale storage projects. The Big Canberra Battery will deliver at least 250 megawatts of power, enough stored renewable energy to supply one-third of Canberra for two hours during peak demand. We are seeking an Infrastructure Project Support Officer to support best practice project management, contract management and procurement in the execution of projects with a focus on effective liaison with stakeholders, safety, compliance and records management. The infrastructure support officer will directly support the Senior Project Manager in the day-to-day management of the Big Canberra Battery Project. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
