The Pre-Delivery Service Technician will manage the preparation of vans for customer delivery. This role involves hands-on technical work, managing and maintaining check lists, and ensuring quality outcomes at handover. You'll play a key role in contributing to the overall efficiency of our service department.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on caravans, trailers, RVs, and associated components (e.g., chassis, electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, and structural elements).
Lead troubleshooting, and quality control for new and used vans.
Conduct pre-delivery inspections, warranty work, and post-sale servicing in compliance with Jayco standards and Australian regulations.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
Work with sales to ensure a smooth process through to delivery.
Mentor and assist coordinating detailing staff to meet timeframes.
Capable of preforming a caravan handover to customers.
Preferred Experience
Experience in the transport, trailer, or caravan industry is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with Jayco or similar RV brands.
Experience as a technician, with proven leadership in a workshop setting.
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, plumbing, and structural principals.
Proficiency with diagnostic faults, and general workshop equipment.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
