Who We Need
Challenger is seeking experienced Food Production Workers on a casual basis Monday – Friday at our client site in Camellia. In this hands-on role you will be responsible to produce sausages, hams, deli meats and other assorted meat products.
What you will do
* Perform product handling, including lifting, pushing and pulling
* Loading and weighing tubs of product
* Knife handling
* Machine operation - sausage making
* Complete verification paperwork
* Adhere to quality and OH&S procedures
* Clean and wash down equipment
* Quality check products
* General housekeeping
Responsibilities/Requirements, Skills, and Experience:
* Availability to work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday on day shifts
* Have experience in food production – specialising in meat products
* Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
* Safety and quality awareness
* Have a good understanding of the safety elements associated with the job
* Able to work in cold environment (4-8 degrees)
* Sound communication skills
