RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children's Campus, partnering with the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, the University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation. Established in ****, RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years. The hospital provides a full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients across Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other parts of Australia and overseas. RCH employs over 6,000 staff, operates a budget of $850 M, and manages 12 wards with 350 beds. Annually, the RCH hosts over 300,000 specialist clinic appointments, 90,000 emergency department presentations, and 20,000 elective surgeries.

About The Role
This is a Permanent, Full-time position at 80 hours per fortnight (including ADO) within the Pharmacy Department. You will support the department through impresting medications to clinical areas, dispensing medications, and manufacturing in sterile and non-sterile environments.
What You'll Achieve
Working in sterile manufacturing (non-chemotherapy)
Dispensing in a busy outpatient setting
Ensuring medications are available in clinical settings
Classification: TH6 – $62,****** Per Annum, plus superannuation, plus salary packaging.
Your Skills And Experience
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a science/laboratory-based field
Experience in a public hospital pharmacy department (desirable)
Certificate III or IV in hospital pharmacy technician course, or working toward a qualification (desirable)
About the Pharmacy Department
The department comprises about 70 staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and administrators. Teams include Outpatients, Children's Cancer Centre, Clinical Pharmacy, Clinical Trials, Medicines Information, HiTH, Sterile Services, and the Pharmacy Business Unit.
