About the Role:
We are expanding globally, and we are looking for a growth-minded leader who is relentlessly focused on growing our user base in key markets. This is a unique role that acts as a cross-functional driver connecting community relations, content creation & curation, as well as product management.
This role is for someone with an entrepreneurial drive, combined with disciplined growth tactics and a leadership mindset.
As a Country Growth Lead on the Product team, you will be a key player on a cross-functional team and play a pivotal role in deepening global presence.
Steering a small local community and content team, your objective will be to drive ecosystem growth by nurturing and managing communities, guiding content initiatives, and spearheading growth marketing efforts.
You will forge influential partnerships on and off-platform to reach recent users, grow the community ecosystem, and create an inviting environment that attracts and retains a growing user base. By combining your growth-minded expertise with an entrepreneurial approach, you will contribute significantly to the mission of bringing community, belonging, and empowerment to everyone in the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer and operationalize a small local community and content team to drive ecosystem growth and maintain overall ecosystem health (e.g., # of local communities, # of active moderators, DAU).
- Apply a creative, entrepreneurial approach, constantly driving your market pod and cross-functional partners to test and evaluate new ideas for local growth and engagement.
- Execute comprehensive community strategies to grow and nurture local communities and maintain a healthy and thriving ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure local product-market fit.
- Analyze the content landscape and ecosystem to identify gaps and opportunities, ensuring we meet local user needs and preferences.
- Utilize your market expertise to identify trends, user behaviors, and growth opportunities: understand the market’s "vibe" and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Serve as a local spokesperson for the client, building influential relationships and partnerships both on and off the platform to reach and attract new audiences.
What We Expect from You:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to take initiative and drive projects independently.
- Proven track record of team leadership experience is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in operations, marketing, or a tech-related background.
- A healthy blend of operations, growth marketing, and community/content expertise.
- Data-driven and analytical mindset, proficiency in Excel modeling, and knowledge of SQL.
- Passion for combining systems-thinking with data analysis to drive impactful decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, users, moderators, partners, content creators, and influencers.
- Results-oriented mindset with a keen eye for execution and attention to detail.
- Innate knowledge of market culture, including language, current events, politics, customs, traditions, topics of interest, and taboos.
