About the role
Kerr Engineering is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join our dynamic team in Henderson, Western Australia. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations, using state-of-the-art CNC machinery to produce high-quality components and parts. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment, contributing to the ongoing success of our company.
What you'll be doing
* Operate and program a variety of CNC machines (Okuma Experience preferred), including lathes, mills, and other specialised equipment
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate job production
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
* Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
* Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvements
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all safety protocols
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a minimum of 3 years working in a similar role
* Strong working knowledge of CNC programming, including Solidworks and CAM software
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
* Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and quality control processes
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
* Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Current forklift license is desirable
