About the role

The Manager, Experiential Learning and Industry Engagement enhances student employability and career readiness by developing and managing experiential learning programs and strategic industry partnerships. This role collaborates with academic faculties, industry partners, and students to create meaningful work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities that reflect the mission and values of the University of Notre Dame Australia.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership and operational management for Experiential Learning and Industry Engagement.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate programs such as internships, placements, service learning, and project-based learning.
* Enhance student employability and graduate outcomes through experiential learning initiatives.
* Build and maintain partnerships with industry, government, and community organisations.
* Collaborate with academic and careers teams to embed Work Integrated Learning into curricula and align with career development strategies.
* Support student preparation, placement experiences, and reflective learning.
* Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance indicators related to participation, satisfaction, and graduate outcomes.


Qualifications, skills & experience

* Degree in education, business, or a related field, with relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
* Demonstrated experience managing experiential learning or Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programs in a tertiary setting.
* Understanding of current trends in employability, industry engagement, and higher education.
* Experience working within Catholic or values-based institutions.
* Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and achieve goals.
* Knowledge of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) practice.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
* Excellent project management, written, and verbal communication abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with university systems (e.g. LMS, CRM, finance systems).
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as TEQSA and HESF.
* Commitment to the mission and values of the University of Notre Dame Australia.
