Welcome to Drifter Canberra, a high-end neighbourhood hostel designed for the free-spirited. We're on the lookout for a live-in legend to join our crew in a Work for Accommodation Role. Opening in April 2025, it's our goal to put together the best hostel crew in Canberra.

The Role
You'll stay on site and be our go-to
overnight support person
– someone who can be contacted in case of an emergency or late-night guest issue. During the day, you'll pitch in with
host duties
from time to time—helping create a welcoming, social, and safe space for travellers from all over the world.
This is a
Work for Accommodation
position, meaning you'll work approximately
15 hours per week
in exchange for discounted accommodation.
Who We Are Looking For
We value team players who are professional, friendly, and consistent. You work well collaboratively and are happy to take direction but you're also a go-getter and can see tasks that need completing – you don't need to wait to be asked. You're adaptable and a natural problem-solver.
Previous hospitality experience is great, but a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to our community are even more important! You're friendly, approachable and always happy to have a chat with our guests.
You'll need to be flexible with your hours, including overnight and weekends. Drifter is home to our guests 24/7 and we're there to support them always.
