Who are we looking for?
We're seeking an experienced and motivated
Senior Engagement Consultant
to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality stakeholder and community engagement that strengthens project outcomes across complex environments.
Working with an energetic and high-performing team, you will:
* Plan and deliver stakeholder and community engagement activities across a diverse range of projects.
* Manage engagement deliverables, schedules and inputs across multiple projects including engaging with clients as well as preparing tender responses.
* Prepare clear, accessible engagement materials and draft content for reports, newsletters, websites and project updates.
* Support meaningful participation by communities, government, industry and First Nations stakeholders through culturally informed engagement approaches that reflect local context, values and community priorities.
* Collate, analyse and synthesise engagement data, feedback and issues using established tools and reporting frameworks.
* Contribute to the preparation of complex engagement reports, consultation summaries and supporting documentation.
What you will bring to the team:
* Formal qualifications in a Social Science/Communications/Commerce degree or similar; or appropriate transferrable skills
* Over 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, enabling you to work independently and support others.
* Highly developed communication skills, both oral and written, with an emphasis on an ability to listen, engage and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholder groups.
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience collaborating with government stakeholders, community groups, and Indigenous organisations in culturally informed and respectful ways.
* Ability to work effectively within a hybrid team, maintaining strong communication and collaboration across in‑person and remote environments.
* Ideally, you bring experience working across Northern Australia and existing relationships with local stakeholders, communities or industry.
* Ability to create and deliver clear, concise, and compelling presentations and reports.
* Committed to teamwork and to shaping a healthy, engaged and high‑performing team culture.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products and desktop publishing.
* High-level organisational skills and self-motivation with proven ability to prioritise, manage a high volume of tasks, meet competing deadlines and adapt to changing work environments with flexibility.
