About the Role : Are you ready to lead end-to-end strategic procurement initiatives that drive real impact in a fantastic State Government Department? We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer to join our client on a contract basis an initial 6 months with possible extension, $82.58 per hour super. This position is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle — from planning, tendering, evaluation, and negotiation to contract award and ongoing performance management. In this role, you will: Deliver high-quality procurement and contract management services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices. Manage end-to-end procurement activities — from planning and tender administration to supplier negotiation, contract award, and ongoing contract management. Provide timely, strategic advice to internal stakeholders and suppliers. Foster strong partnerships across public sector bodies, industry groups, and vendors. Conduct performance monitoring, prepare reports and briefings, and contribute to system improvements. What you'll bring: Previous procurement experience in a Government setting will be highly regarded (local, state or federal). Strong knowledge of the QPP and industry best practices Proven expertise in managing complex procurement projects. Strong knowledge of government procurement policies and practices.
