We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join a high-performing team on a 6-month contract based in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone with strong end-to-end payroll experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with both local and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end payroll processing for a mid-sized employee base
* Ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery in line with Australian legislation
* Work closely with a regional offshore payroll processing team, providing guidance and oversight
* Review payroll outputs, reconciliations, and exception reports
* Handle payroll-related queries and act as a key escalation point
* Support month-end activities, reporting, and audit requirements
* Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
* Liaise with HR, Finance, and external providers including ADP
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in a Senior Payroll Specialist or similar role
* Strong hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems or similar system
* Experience in FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or similar high-volume industries
* Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
* Comfortable working with and coordinating offshore teams
* Good communication and stakeholder management skills
