Strategic Policy Manager
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in a Strategic Policy Manager role.
This position involves utilising strong policy development and stakeholder engagement skills to contribute to the development of strategic policies that support reform projects with a justice system focus.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver comprehensive reform strategies, incorporating input from various stakeholders.
* Oversight of the implementation of cultural review recommendations, ensuring effective integration with departmental operations.
* Effective coordination with other areas of the department responsible for implementation.
* Budget bid development and submission.
* Reporting and secretariat support.
* Managing interdependencies with related work and operational reforms across the broader justice system.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale policy and reform projects, driving financial and performance improvements.
* Knowledge and experience in budget management and performance improvement initiatives.
* Sound knowledge of Victorian government administrative processes.
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with ability to analyse complex operational, policy and legal issues.
* Effective people leadership and management experience.
* A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
