As one of the few companies designing and manufacturing High Frequency (HF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) radio communication systems for military and commercial organizations globally, Barrett Communications (a Motorola Solutions Company) is constantly innovating to solve communication challenges in some of the most inhospitable locations worldwide.Based in Bibra Lake, within the Cockburn Commercial Park, our Test Engineer will be part of the product development team, focusing on test and compliance to design the next generation of Barrett products for export worldwide.Test Engineer Duties include:Coordinate with software developers and QA engineers to develop, implement, and maintain automation frameworks.Design, develop, and maintain test automation for software in various programming languages.Design and develop manual testing procedures for product features.Analyze software specifications and develop test plans.Create and maintain test logs, reports, and data.Develop new automated testing capabilities.Update test plans and documentation.Track issues, defects, and document lessons learned.Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing, both automated and manual.Collaborate with development teams.Basic RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering; additional degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.Experience working within Agile methodologies.2-3 years of hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Robot Framework.Proficiency in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.Knowledge of JavaScript test scripting is advantageous.Experience with radio communications equipment is preferred.Salary: $90KClosing date: September 6, 2025Location: Perth, WATravel Requirements:NoneRelocation Provided:NonePosition Type:ExperiencedReferral Payment Plan:NoEEO Statement:Motorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
