Job Summary:
The Resilient Hobart Program Officer is responsible for developing and delivering the 'Resilient Hobart' program, aiming to boost community capacity, connectivity, and preparedness. This role involves enhancing social resilience through various programs, collaborating with external organizations, and supporting community-specific resilience plans.
About the Role:
This position plays a vital part in ensuring residents are equipped to respond effectively to and recover from natural disasters. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and assessing programs; collaborating with external organizations to create customized workshops and training sessions; partnering with the Safer Communities Coordinator to support community-specific resilience plans; and identifying funding opportunities for projects that strengthen community resilience.

About You:
We seek a motivated individual with a diploma or higher in community development, engagement, education, or social sciences, or equivalent experience in delivering programs and projects directly within the community. A minimum of 3 years' experience in this field is required. Additionally, you must hold a current Driver's Licence and a Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Card.
