* Duration: Full-time Fixed term, 2-year contract
* Base Salary: $135,606 to $142,507

Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Manager – Child & Family Services provides strategic, operational, and clinical-program leadership across Child Health, Maternity Services and Early Intervention streams. The role ensures high-quality, culturally safe, integrated services that align with DDHS strategic priorities, clinical governance frameworks and funding requirements. It provides leadership to workforce capability, clinical governance compliance, and integrated service delivery across DDHS Child and Family programs. The role oversees performance against funding agreements, NKPI/NTAHKPI targets, and leads improvements in data integrity, service integration, and quality of care for children, women and families.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Provide strategic leadership across Child Health, Maternity and Early Intervention programs, ensuring culturally safe and evidence-based service delivery.
* Ensure program alignment with DDHS Strategic and Operational Plans and organisational clinical governance requirements.
* Lead performance management against all funding agreements, NKPIs, NTAHKPIs and internal KPIs.
* Manage program budgets, funding allocations, financial reporting, and grant compliance.
* Strengthen data quality, reporting accuracy and system optimisation in collaboration with the Clinical Excellence team.
* Lead multidisciplinary teams, providing supervision, capability development and performance management.
* Ensure integrated service delivery across DDHS Clinical Services, including GP, Allied Health, AHP, Midwifery, and Social Health teams.
* Drive continuous quality improvement, risk management and adherence to accreditation standards.
* Represent DDHS with government agencies, NGOs, community partners and hospital networks to enhance access and service quality.
* Oversee complex care coordination and social support pathways for vulnerable children and families.
* Develop, review, and evaluate programs, policies, models of care and service improvement initiatives.
* Ensure documentation, reporting and information management comply with DDHS standards.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

* Registered Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner with relevant tertiary qualifications.
* Extensive experience leading Child Health, Maternity or Family Programs in a complex service environment.
* Demonstrated capacity to manage KPIs, funding agreements, budgets and reporting requirements.
* Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with strong people management skills.
* Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management.
* High-level data literacy, including the ability to analyse and report on clinical and program performance measures.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Understanding of the social determinants of health and the context of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage competing demands.

Desirable

* Postgraduate qualifications in Public Health, Child Health, Leadership, or Health Management.
* Experience working with Communicare or similar clinical information systems.
* Previous experience in an ACCHO or similar complex healthcare environment.

EMPLOYMENT IS SUBJECT TO

* Willing to undergo a Police Check.
* Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
* Current driver's licence.
* Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement.
* Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.
