Our client is a reputable public practice firm looking to expand their Business Advisory team, bringing on a Manager in Melbourne.
In this role, you'll lead client engagements across transaction advisory, financial analysis, performance improvement, and strategic projects, working with a diverse portfolio of mid-market and large corporate clients.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder management, directly communicating with clients and working alongside partners
Developing solutions and providing advice for process improvement and income growth
Leading strategy and business planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders, then assisting with implementation
Team management – mentoring junior staff to deliver services to clients
Reviewing and managing the completion of financial statements, consolidated financial statements, Income Tax Returns, FBT and GST prepared by team members
Provide advice on tax structures and planning issues for clients, then leading the implementation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar discipline
CA or CPA qualification
Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role (5+ years)
Ideally, experience within NFP or aged care advisory
Experienced in delegating, reviewing work, and providing feedback
Thorough understanding of basic accounting procedures
Experience with financial accounting statements, general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
