Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a seasoned Business Director, Rheumatology to lead our field-based team and drive sales and promotion of our products within a defined geography.
As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and developing a team of Territory Managers. This includes building capabilities and driving overall territory performance against sales, access, and compliance goals.
To achieve this, you will effectively identify and monitor multiple local market conditions to build and support strong customer relationships while driving product-promotion solutions and executing marketing strategies.
In addition, you will monitor field activities to ensure all are within compliance guidelines and provide timely feedback on marketing tactics and market conditions while collaborating closely with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and medical affairs.
Your comprehensive plans will support the sales and revenue plans of the organization by ensuring call plan execution through monitoring/reporting sales performance against key performance metrics. You will also partner with Alliance teams to develop integrated business plans, communication, and collaboration with key strategic and tactical initiatives.
Furthermore, you will lead budget planning and expense management for the Territory Manager team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree preferred
- At least 5 years of experience as a district or regional first-line manager is required
- 10+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experience is highly desirable
- Immunology experience is preferred
- A documented history and proven track record of sales success
- A valid driver's license with a safe driving record that meets Vanigent requirements
- The ability to meet travel demands - 70% field time and other travel as necessary, including overnights and/or weekends
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings
- Preference for the Business Director to live in the district boundaries
- Demonstrated ability to lead a district, create and execute strategic plans, and drive results through others
- Ability to develop, recruit, and hire top talent
