Inventory Planner Role
The Inventory Planner role is a pivotal position within the Procurement & Supply Team, contributing to ensuring a seamless and economical flow of parts and materials utilising SAP ERP.
This key role involves executing inventory planning strategies, collaborating with stakeholders, supporting data accuracy and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Executing inventory planning strategies to meet production and operational requirements
* Regularly reviewing and reporting on daily Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and communicating status and any rectifications to business partners
* Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure correct inventory levels are maintained to support maintenance and production schedules
* Liaising with vendors and other sites to secure parts availability
* Supporting Master Data accuracy through data reconciliation and the review of materials, duplication checking and request validation
* Providing analytical reviews to identify anomalies, opportunities for process improvement and Inventory Optimisation
* Conducting regular analysis, reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy and data governance
* Addressing data and Material discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to prevent future inventory issues
Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* Proven experience in inventory planning, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
* Proficiency in SAP (S/4 HANA) or similar industry-specific ERP systems
* Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Excel and MS Power BI
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various work streams
