We're partnering with a leading international renewable energy developer and IPP with an established and growing presence in Australia.
With a strong pipeline spanning wind, solar, BESS and emerging technologies, the business is continuing to invest in its development function and is now looking to appoint a Development Manager to support the progression of projects across New South Wales and nationally.
The Role
This is a broad, end-to-end development position, working across projects from early-stage origination through to financial close and into delivery.
You will play a key role in progressing projects through planning, approvals and commercial milestones, working closely with internal technical, grid and commercial teams, as well as external stakeholders.
The role offers strong exposure across the full project lifecycle within a well-established platform, alongside a collaborative and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects across wind, solar and BESS
* Lead or support key workstreams across land, planning, environmental approvals and stakeholder engagement
* Coordinate inputs across internal teams including grid, engineering, commercial and delivery
* Manage external consultants and advisors across environmental, planning and technical scopes
* Assist in progressing projects toward key milestones including development approval and financial close
* Support commercial activities including contracting, offtake discussions and transaction processes where required
* Engage with key stakeholders including landowners, local communities, regulators and government bodies
* Contribute to project strategy, risk management and programme scheduling
About You
* Experience in renewable energy project development, ideally within the Australian market
* Exposure to utility-scale projects across wind, solar or BESS
* Strong understanding of planning and approvals processes
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs
* Commercial awareness and an understanding of how projects progress toward financial close
