About the role
This position is a permanent full-time role in the Water and Sewerage team, based at Council’s Moruya Depot. The successful candidate will supervise the specialist electrical team responsible for maintaining water and sewerage system components, ensuring safe drinking water and effective wastewater treatment in line with regulatory standards.
The role includes overseeing safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery with a strong customer focus, leading staff in alignment with Council values and WHS requirements and participating in out‑of‑hours response on a rostered basis as needed.
The salary for this position is in the range of $3,905.61 to $4,499.49 gross per fortnight inclusive of superannuation and industry allowance.

About you
You’re a safety‑minded electrical professional who thrives in a hands‑on leadership role. You bring strong technical expertise, clear communication, and a collaborative, team‑focused approach that helps others perform at their best.
Your application will further demonstrate:
* Experience implementing Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
* Strong people leadership capability, with experience supervising, guiding and supporting teams.
* Extensive experience in installing, maintaining and repairing electrical and communications systems within a water and sewer utility or similar industry.
* Proven experience in asset condition assessment and reporting.
* Well‑developed skills in planning and monitoring resources and activities.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Certificate IV in Electrotechnology Systems, Electrical Instrumentation or equivalent training/qualification.
* Electrical Trade Certificate.
