We are a campervan conversion company based on the Gold Coast, known for building high-quality and stylish vans for travel and adventure. Every van is uniquely designed, and craftsmanship is at the core of what we do. We're looking for a skilled tradesperson with cabinet making and carpentry experience to join our team and bring our builds to life.
Role Overview
As a Campervan Builder, you'll be responsible for fitting, and installing custom cabinetry within campervans along with other installations such as roof fan installs and water tank installs etc. We can provide training where necessary. You'll work closely with our team to ensure each build meets our high standards of quality, safety, and finish. This role suits someone with an eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for the industry. WORKING HOURS ARE 5:30AM-1:30PM MON-FRI. Overtime after hours and weekends available.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and install custom cabinetry within campervans
* Carry out precise carpentry work, including cutting, shaping, and finishing materials
* Work with a variety of materials (plywood, hardwoods, laminates, composites and acrylics)
* Interpret plans, drawings, and customer requirements
* Collaborate with other trades (electrical, plumbing) to integrate systems into cabinetry and furniture
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard of craftsmanship and safety
* Maintain tools, workshop equipment, and a clean workspace
* Contribute ideas for improving efficiency and product quality
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in cabinet making and/or carpentry (trade qualification highly regarded)
* Strong woodworking and finishing skills with attention to detail
* Ability to operate woodworking machinery and power tools safely
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt designs for practical builds
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team (Both are a must)
* Good time management and organisational skills are essential
* Enthusiasm for the campervan building industry
