Offer description

Lead a multidisciplinary team. Stay clinically connected. Help shape a modern mental health service.

Join our mental health team in Ipswich! You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team while remaining clinically connected, influence how care is delivered and work alongside peers in a modern Medicare Mental Health Centre built for flexibility, innovation, and real impact. It’s a role for an experienced clinician ready to shape practice, support people in crisis, and lead high‑quality, person‑centred care—without stepping away from what matters most.

Our centre delivers timely, person‑centred mental health care including assessment, triage, warm referrals, and immediate to short‑medium‑term support for people with varied and complex needs, including those experiencing crisis. You’ll work alongside peers in a genuinely collaborative, integrated service designed to be flexible, responsive, and clinically robust.

About the Role

* Maintain a manageable clinical caseload, delivering evidence‑based psychological care
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and line management to a multidisciplinary team (psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, counsellors)
* Influence service quality, clinical decision‑making, and client outcomes
* Work within the Medicare Mental Health Centre model, allowing flexible engagement and integrated on‑site supports
* This role suits a clinician ready to step into (or further grow within) a leadership position while remaining grounded in therapeutic work

Why Join Open Minds?

* Salary packaging up to $15,900 + $2,650 meals and entertainment (tax‑free)
* Competitive remuneration aligned with skills and experience
* Access to regular, supportive clinical supervision
* ADO and paid professional development
* Retail discounts, employee referral bonuses
* A values‑led organisation where innovation, wellbeing, and peer collaboration are genuinely supported

What You’ll Bring

* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, or another relevant mental health discipline
* Current AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
* Strong knowledge of the Australian mental health system, legislation, policy, and ethical frameworks
* Experience working with trauma, risk, and clinical complexity
* A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to safe, person‑centred care

Mandatory Requirements

* Current Driver Licence
* Blue Card
* National Police Check
* Strong knowledge of the mental health system, government policy and legislation, and professional standards and codes of ethics as they pertain to working with people and their mental health.
