Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our high-performing, specialized cardiac unit. This casual position is ideal for a cardiac sonographer who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. You will be working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and supportive environment that values clinical excellence and continuous learning. In this role, you will contribute across a range of Cardiac Physiology and Technology services, with a strong focus on performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in assessing patients with complex cardiac conditions, ensuring accurate diagnostics and contributing to optimal patient outcomes. In this casual Cardiac Technologist Grade 2 role, you'll perform high quality cardiac ultrasound examinations, contribute to a broad range of cardiac physiology services, and play a key part in caring for patients with complex cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound clinical judgement and a collaborative approach that enhances patient centred care. The role involves delivering accurate diagnostics, assisting with patient assessment and monitoring, and maintaining high standards of safety and communication. As a casual position, it offers flexibility with availability for designated weekdays or rostered shifts as needed, along with the capacity to support the team during peak periods or urgent clinical demands.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

1. Do you have a diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac), Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound or recognised equivalent?
2. Are you registered with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry as a fully trained sonographer?
3. Demonstrated ability to provide cardiac sonography services to patients in a professional, courteous, respectful and gentle manner while at the same time maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion at all times.
4. Describe your previous experience in cardiac diagnostics / echocardiography, as well as competency in ECG interpretation.
5. Demonstrated time management, organisational, communication skills and computer competency.
6. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team while supporting a harmonious work environment.
