Star Group, a family-owned Tier 1 electrical, communications, and maintenance contractor, is seeking a dynamic FP&A Business Partner to lead financial strategy and support informed decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and providing strategic insights through data visualization and collaboration. You will work closely with project teams, divisions, and executive leadership to develop financial strategies that drive growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes.
2. Prepare detailed financial reports and perform variance analysis.
3. Utilize data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to deliver actionable insights.
4. Support long-term planning and investment analysis with strategic input.
5. Collaborate with the CEO, Board, and executive teams on special projects and initiatives, providing financial guidance.
6. Monitor financial risks, including project costs, revenue forecasts, and cash flow management.
7. Improve financial processes and reporting systems to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
1. At least 3 years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, or management accounting.
2. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
3. Accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) or currently studying towards one.
4. Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
5. Experience with accounting systems and data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
6. Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
7. Adaptability and collaboration skills, with a passion for driving business performance.
