**EXPERIENCED WALL & FLOOR TILER - FULL TIME POSITION**
We are based in Balgowlah, Sydney, and seeking a skilled and experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our team.
As a Tiler, you will be responsible for installing tiles in various residential projects across the Sydney area. Your primary goal will be to ensure high-quality tiling work that meets the specifications and expectations of our clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Measurement and Cutting: Measure and cut tiles to fit around obstacles, corners, and other challenging areas. Precision cutting and attention to detail are essential to achieve seamless and visually appealing results.
- Grouting and Finishing
- Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a protected working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safe work practices at all times.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on work progress
**Requirements**:
- Proven Experience: At least 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Tiler is required, preferably in the residential or commercial construction industry. A portfolio of past projects may be required for assessment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tile installation techniques, including surface preparation, cutting, and grouting. Ability to work with various types of tiles, such as ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship to achieve high-quality tiling work that meets client expectations.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Team Player: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision.
- Qualifications: Formal qualifications in tiling or a related field may be advantageous but are not always required. Relevant certifications or licenses may be necessary depending on local regulations.
Annual income for standard 38 hour week excluding superannuation is AUD 74,000 per annum commensurate with industry rates, skills and experience.
