Responsibilities
* Conducts pre-shift meeting with scheduled team members.
* Delegates all work assignments to entire staff by shift.
* Assists in the selection, training, supervision and evaluation of the stewarding staff.
* Trains all new hires in all aspects of deep cleaning and Stewarding.
* Covers for Supervisors when they are on PTO.
* Manages and is accountable for chemical usage.
* Trains on MSDS sheets as required for New Hires.
* Sets break schedule for team members by shift.
* Communicates as leadership representative to support departments when necessary.
* Ensures compliance to standards set by management in scraping, racking, stacking, and washing of china and glassware.
* Keeps work area clean and sanitary.
* Complies with standards of health, safety, and sanitation.
* Understands and practices the use of proper chemicals on property.
* Maintains knowledge of sanitation, dishwashing, maintenance, and safety standards.
* Monitors and records dish machine temperatures daily.
* Directly supervises all stewards and utility stewards on assigned shift.
* Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
