Lead Clinical Microbiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinical microbiologist to lead our infectious disease team at a major public hospital in Queensland.

The Infection Control Team is responsible for providing medical microbiology, infectious diseases and infection prevention and control services.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement evidence-based guidelines for the management of infectious diseases;
>
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and infection control practices;
>
Conduct audits and quality improvement activities to optimize the effectiveness of infection control measures;
>
Provide expert advice and support to healthcare staff on infection control and prevention strategies;
>
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to infection control and prevention;
>
>

Requirements:

APRHA Specialist Registration;

Relevant postgraduate qualifications in microbiology or infectious diseases;
