About the Role
We're seeking a proactive and people-focused Assistant Branch Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our branch and help deliver exceptional service to our members. In this pivotal support role, you'll work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure smooth workflows, uphold compliance standards, and foster a positive team culture. You'll be a go-to resource for staff, helping guide performance, support member interactions, and contribute to the branch's overall success.
Key responsibilities
* Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring service excellence
* Support staff in delivering accurate, compliant, and member-focused service
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services across all TMBL brands
* Promote and cross-sell products in line with member needs and branch goals
* Monitor team performance and provide coaching and guidance as needed
* Help ensure safety, security, and audit procedures are followed consistently
* Communicate updates and ensure staff have the tools and information to succeed
* Contribute to reporting, compliance documentation, and feedback analysis
* Champion TMBL's values and help create a welcoming, high-performing environment
About You
You're a natural team player with a strong customer focus and a passion for supporting others. You thrive in collaborative environments and take pride in helping your team succeed. You're organised, adaptable, and ready to step up when needed—always with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in bank retail sales or customer service
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience (formal or informal)
* Strong communication and coaching skills
* Ability to manage change and support team development
* Solid organisational and time management abilities
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and accurate data entry
* A commitment to TMBL's culture and values, with a desire to lead by example
* FSR Tier 2 Accreditation
* Diploma-level tertiary qualification (highly regarded)
