Description
We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Head of Rowing to lead the overall management, organisation and performance of our established Rowing program.
Reporting to the Director of Sport, you will lead a program with a strong history of participation and success, working across Junior, Intermediate and Senior squads. This role requires a capable coach and leader who can drive performance while fostering a positive, inclusive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and implement training programs across all year levels
* Develop, support and mentor coaching staff
* Oversee competition planning and student participation (local, state, national)
* Manage communication with students, families and staff
* Oversee staffing, crew allocation, budget and fleet management
* Coordinate camps, events and key stakeholder relationships
* Promote participation and recognise student achievement
About You
Essential qualifications and experience
* Level 1 Rowing Accreditation
* Proven success in school‐aged rowing programs as a coach and leader
* Experience working with junior athletes and talent identification
* Experience leading and motivating staff
* Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
* Current First Aid qualifications
* Current Employee Working with Children Check
* Current Police Check
* Right to work in Australia
Desirable
* Financial/budget management experience
* Experience leading additional sporting programs
