Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a HSC Year 12 English Private Tutor who can attend a mix of in-person lessons in Wahroonga and online classes. The Private Tutor will provide personalised tutoring sessions in assigned subject areas to students of various age groups. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assisting students with academic challenges, assessing progress, and customising teaching strategies to meet individual needs. Tutors are expected to communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance and foster a comfortable and supportive learning environment.
Note: This is a freelance opportunity where we currently need a tutor for one student. However, we prefer offering new opportunities to those we already contract and so when new Sydney clients appear, we will contact you as a prioirity.
Qualifications
* Outstanding results in HSC Year 12 English
* Able to travel to Wahroonga for in-person lessons
* Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students and families
* Time management and organisational skills to plan lessons effectively and meet deadlines
* Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and academic levels
* Previous tutoring experience and familiarity with the Australian curriculum are advantageous
* Reliable internet connection and a suitable environment for remote sessions
