Are you passionate about caravanning and the great outdoors? Love working with your hands and ticking off a checklist with care and precision? Wangaratta Caravans is looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Pre-Delivery Service Technician to help us ensure every caravan that leaves our yard is road-ready and adventure-approved.
About the Role
As a Pre-Delivery Service Technician, you’ll be the final set of eyes and hands before a customer’s caravan hits the road. You’ll work through a detailed checklist to make sure each van meets our high-quality standards and is ready for travel. You’ll also assist the service team with general servicing, minor repairs, and basic maintenance when needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs): Go through a detailed checklist to inspect new caravans before delivery. Test everything from lights and gas systems to cabinetry and appliances.
Basic Servicing & Repairs: Help the service team with simple maintenance jobs and repairs when required.
Quality Assurance: Ensure each caravan is built and presented to the highest standards—clean, functional, and customer-ready.
Team Support: Communicate clearly with the sales and service team to report any issues or fixes required before handover.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in a hands-on, trade, mechanical or service-related role (caravans, RVs, trailers, auto, or similar)
Good mechanical and technical aptitude—able to spot and fix basic issues
A sharp eye for detail and a love for ticking things off a checklist
Great time management and reliability—someone who takes pride in their work
A team player with a positive attitude
Current driver's licence
Bonus Points For:
Previous caravan, RV, or automotive industry experience
Basic knowledge of 12V electrical systems, plumbing, or gas systems
A trade background in fitting, mechanical, or carpentry
