About the Role
The Specialist Aboriginal Family Violence Case Manager will be responsible for delivering culturally safe and effective responses to clients who have experienced family violence. This involves providing support and guidance using an Aboriginal Family Violence Integrated response model.
This specialist position requires strong knowledge of Aboriginal culture and self-determination, as well as experience working with Aboriginal communities. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality services.
Culturally safe practice is at the heart of this role, which demands a deep understanding of the complexities of Aboriginal family violence. Experience in crisis accommodation or similar settings is also highly valued.

About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
* Be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
* Hold a Bachelor of Social Work or other equivalent qualification;
* Have a minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience; or;
* Have significant cultural knowledge and experience, lived experience, and/or have faced barriers to educational pathways;
The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Family Violence, with established experience and capability to deliver culturally safe and responsive practice as part of a family violence integrated service model.
