Job Title: Revenue Services Manager
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Revenue Services Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient administration of rates and revenue collection, ensuring high-quality financial services and managing debt recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate computation of levies and charges;
* Collect and provide information regarding council rates in accordance with regulations under the Local Government Act;
* Lead, manage, and motivate staff to achieve unit responsibilities with a commitment to continuous improvement;
* Contribute to business planning processes within the council, liaising with stakeholders and providing expert advice on rating issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Extensive knowledge in rates and valuations within local government;
* Demonstrated and detailed knowledge and understanding of all functions, processes, and procedures within the Revenue Services function;
* A thorough understanding of the Local Government Act and associated Regulations;
* An aptitude for computer-based accounting, database management, and ability to analyze computer software and its application.
