Our Bookshop team is looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Customer Service Officer to be the welcoming face of our Bookshop supporting students, staff and our vibrant campus community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys customer service, independence and being part of a supportive team. Whether you’re experienced in retail, administration or developing your skills we’d love to hear from you!
Working alongside our Library team, you’ll be a go-to person for all things Bookshop. You’ll have your own area of responsibility, but you’ll also be surrounded by a team who will support you as you learn the role.
Some key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Deliver friendly, helpful customer service in person and over the phone.
* Assist customers with purchases, payments and general enquiries including assisting students with purchasing items for their courses such as PPE and stethoscopes.
* Process and coordinate Bookshop orders with accuracy and follow-up.
* Monitor and reconcile stock levels, reporting discrepancies as required.
* Process invoices and maintain accurate electronic stock records.
* Manage banking and electronic payments in line with procedures.

About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re someone who enjoys connecting with people, staying organised and taking initiative.
We’re looking for someone with:
* A passion for delivering exceptional customer service
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience with electronic payment systems and reconciliation (or willingness to learn!)
* Great time management, the ability to prioritise and comfort working independently
* Experience in retail, customer service or admin is highly valued.
No formal qualifications are required—your attitude, experience and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Salary Range:
PACCT Level 2- $55,170 - $59,405 p.a (pro rata) + Superannuation

This position ideally will be across 5 days Monday to Friday with a preferred start time of 7.30am.
