About the Role
The Staff Accountant I position plays a vital role in maintaining the financial health and stability of our organization. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data, and analyzing fluctuations in departmental results.
Responsibilities
* Prepares journal entries to General Ledger and ensures timely completion of financial reports.
* Analyzes financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Maintains fixed assets and general ledger systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Demonstrates a commitment to responsible gaming practices and adheres to Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
* Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times and maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required, along with one to three years of similar accounting experience.
* Knowledge of hotel casino operations preferred, with basic mathematical skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
