Key Job Responsibilities:
* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef Lead to join our team in the kitchen, responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including restaurant, banquets, breakfast, and room service.
* This role will involve preparing food, beverages, materials, and equipment needed for service, staying up-to-date with current food trends, and actively building product knowledge to upsell products and provide exceptional customer service.
* The successful candidate will establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and colleagues alike, ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Hygiene, and HACCP standards.
* They will also be required to cooperate and partner with management in implementing workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, as well as follow kitchen and hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A Commercial Cookery Certificate III or related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience in a hotel, banquets, or restaurant environment.
* Previous experience with HACCP processes and procedures is essential, as well as strong teamwork skills, self-development focus, and drive for results.
* A high energy level and passion for customer service are also key requirements for this role.
