Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members
* Oversee complex assessments and develop innovative environmental management solutions
* Develop methodologies, plan and lead field surveys, ensuring exceptional project delivery
About You
To be successful, you will possess:
* Advanced qualifications in ecology, zoology, botany or environmental science, or a related field
* A minimum of 7 years' experience in ecological work (preferably in South Australia)
* Expertise in identifying flora and fauna species, with strong knowledge of threatened species and ecological communities
* Sound working knowledge of South Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation
* Demonstrated experience in managing projects and budgets
* Previous experience in consulting and business development (desirable)
* Experience planning, coordinating and leading large-scale field surveys
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and assessments
* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a proven track record of supporting and developing junior ecologists
